Is Network Marketing An Internet Business? PDF Print E-mail

By Kurt Henninger

In the last several years, all the rage in the home business industry is the network marketing internet business. Often people who have been in this industry for a bit ask if MLM can really be an Internet Business? What ever happened to personal contact and trust in this industry? Is this the end of Network Marketing as we know it?

I assure you, a network marketing internet business is not the end of MLM, but just an application of the latest technologies available. Performing business in this way has two distinct advantages over traditional network marketing.

First, one of the most common problems in traditional network marketing is having enough people to talk to about your opportunity or products. Frequently a new business builder was asked to make a list of 100 friends and family and to call each of them up and see if they would be interested in hearing about your new MLM opportunity. Another common old school marketing tactic was just to keep talking to as many people as you can about your new network marketing business and eventually you would find someone who would be interested in what you have to say.

However, with the advent of a network marketing internet business, this problem has been solved. Using the internet to provide a constant presence online, you now have the ability to potentially get in front of thousands of people daily to introduce either your products or business opportunity. The internet provides unbounded leverage in the fact that it can present you and your business to people all around the world, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if used properly.

Secondly, with the advent of network marketing internet business, you do not have to rely solely on your MLM program for income. You can create multiple streams of income through something known as affiliate marketing. An affiliate product is one in which you earn a commission off of a sale when you introduce someone to a product and they purchase it. Common affiliate commissions start at 50 percent per sale.

Particularly if you are looking to market your network marketing business opportunity on the internet, there are numerous generic 'how to' affiliate products that teach people how to build their MLM business online. When you introduce those products to people, again you earn a commission on the sale of it.

What better way to earn additional money while you are building your network marketing business?

As you can see, a network marketing internet business is simply a way to leverage the power of the internet and can potentially bring into play multiple streams of income into your business.
